As a child moving through every section of the US, Katie maintained the constant dream to be an artist of some kind, attracted to both drawing and writing, but not sure how to utilize those skills in the real world.
Entering The University of Texas at Austin, she mused over the list of majors and selected Advertising as the best convergence of her talents, putting her head to the grindstone to graduate with a BS in under four years. Experience pinpointed her true skills of organization and client relations when Katie launched her professional career in account management at JWT in Dallas, handling Texas Instruments’ print and online campaigns for four years. She spent another two years focused on interactive advertising and development for other national brands, including KinderCare Learning Centers, The Scooter Store, and JCPenney. She landed at Concussion in early 2011, excited to be back on the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex and continuing immersion in the wilds of the interactive space.
